For starters, Claburn says that smartwatches should act as sensors. Which means they ought to be able to determine the temperature, measure your body’s vital signs and tell you how close you are to that new Japanese restaurant.

Easy charging is important, too. Claburn says that consumers ought to be able to charge smartwatches merely by setting them on a charging plate, sparing everyone a mess of cords. An even better thought: Smartwatches should charge themselves when you walk.
