There’s been a long-running race to the bottom among tablet makers. Naturally, when we say “bottom,” we’re talking about price. Tablet makers around the world have been racing to flood the stores with the lowest priced tablets possible in an attempt to capture the business of the budget-conscious buyer. The Datawind tablet beats all in terms of price.<\/p>\n
Performance?<\/b><\/p>\n
It seems odd to ask if the Ubislate 7Ci is worth it. It only costs $38. But Time’s review claims that the tablet performs about as good as you would think a $38 tablet would perform. It doesn\u2019t provide much storage. Its viewing angles are suspect. Its battery dies too quickly. And its performance definitely falls into the slow category.<\/p>\n

Of course, that $38 price tag is still impressive. Time admitted that much in its review. And if you are budget-savvy consumer or business owner, Datawind’s move is good news for you. This tablet might not be the one for you. Nevertheless the existence of the Ubislate 7Ci does prove one thing: Budget tablets are only going to get more affordable.
