Users can count on Safari to quickly find and load their favorite web pages. But let\u2019s suppose you\u2019d prefer to browse with Opera, Dolphin, or Chrome? Fortunately you can download any browser you\u2019d like to your iPad or iPhone. The bad news? Unless you\u2019re willing to manually tinker with your Apple gadget \u2013 and that\u2019s something only expert techies should try \u2013 Safari will always remain your device\u2019s default browser.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The default option<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having Safari as your default browser means that if you click a link in a program your iPad will automatically use Safari to navigate you to the website. If you want to use a different browser, you will need to copy and paste the link into another browser you have. This can be a pain, but if you absolutely love Chrome, you will have to take this step.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alternative browsers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Rob Pegoraro recently wrote in a <a href=\"http:\/\/kbit.co\/iOS-browser-change\">column<\/a> for USA Today, Google put the spotlight on alternative iPad and iPhone browsers with its release of Chrome software designed to run on Apple\u2019s iOS operating system. Today, Apple users are often downloading such options as the Dolphin web browser, Chrome, and Opera to search the web. Doing so is easy. Simply log onto these browsers\u2019 web homes from your Apple gadget and find the download instructions. Once you download the browsers you can use them to surf the web.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A mix and match approach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many people use different browsers on their laptops and devices for different things. Perhaps Chrome for personal tabs, and Safari for business related tabs.
