Throughout 2019, Microsoft has been notifying users about the end of Windows 7 support<\/strong> and has been promoting Windows 10 as the main upgrade option for both businesses and consumers. When will Support for Windows 7 End?<\/h2>\n

With 2020 quickly approaching, Microsoft has begun to make its notification prompts for upgrading from Windows 7 even bigger, creating full-size popups to warn users about the end of support for Windows 7. This full-screen notification will warn users that their Windows 7 PC is out of support and will start appearing on January 15, 2020, the day after the support ends.<\/p>\n

Users who do not upgrade from Windows 7 will become more vulnerable to viruses and malware due to the lack of security and software updates, as well as to no longer having access to tech support. Users will need to interact with the full-screen prompt by choosing one of the three options to dismiss the message.<\/p>\n

Benefits of Upgrading to Windows 10<\/h2>\n

Since Windows 7 support will end on January 14, 2020, Microsoft has been promoting Windows 10 as the main upgrade path. Some of the benefits of switching to Windows 10 include:<\/p>\n

1. Better Ransomware Prevention<\/h3>\n

Upgrading to Windows 10 can help protect your business from facing ransomware problems. Thanks to its feature designed to lock user work and personal documents on the computer, your important data will be kept safe and secure in the event of a ransomware attack.<\/p>\n

2. Stronger Malware Security<\/h3>\n

Windows 10 comes with malware security that is specifically designed to scan, quarantine, and remove any malware, providing additional ransomware protection. 3. Increase Web Browsing Safety<\/h3>\n

Windows 10 comes with the Windows Defender Application Guard that provides additional safety to people using the Edge browser. If someone accidentally downloads malware onto a work computer, Windows Defender Application Guard will confine the malware to a virtual machine, preventing it from damaging the computer.<\/p>\n
